I Feel A Little Stranger…

I feel a little stranger

I feel a little stranger

A little stranger growing in my chest

I feel a little stranger today

Than I will tomorrow

My mind and body

My lungs and heart and soul

My spirit stronger as a whole

And together

We will engulf and eat

These stranger things

And expel exhale

These irritants

To leave behind

In front

A future pearl

For tomorrow

We must ALL be better

Inspired by conversations with a colleague and William S. Burroughs’s ‘leetle stranger’.
